Tao Laser Cloud

The path of one drawing

How it works

Below: what happens to the file step by step, where each number in the price comes from, and what your client actually sees when they open the link.

Four steps

1. The drawing enters the cloud

The DXF file comes from the browser or from the Tao Laser plugin in your CAD editor. The cloud takes a content fingerprint and stores a version: if the same file changes on another machine, you meet a conflict instead of silently losing an edit.

2. You pick the machine and the material

A machine profile is the model, controller, tube, kerf, speed, passes and the price of its hour. A sheet profile is price per mΒ², thickness and density. The machine wins over hand-typed numbers, and the estimate says so out loud.

3. The cloud does the numbers

Cut length and pierce count come from the geometry; time from the machine speed; money from material, cut and time. The layout is computed by the nesting service and shown as a picture: what fit on the sheet and what is left.

4. The client gets a link

The quote opens by a link with no sign-in and no account. It carries your workshop name, contacts, the scope of work, the total and β€” if you set one β€” an expiry date. Print or PDF with one button.

Where each number comes from

Line in the priceHow it is computedWhat you can change
Materialsheet area Γ— price per mΒ²sheet profile
Cuttingcontour length Γ— price per metrecut profile
Machine time(length Γ· speed + pierces) Γ— price of the hourmachine profile
Layoutthe nesting service on the geometrygap, sheet size, leftovers

If the machine overrode your number, the estimate shows it as a line β€” for example "machine hour 500 β†’ 950 β‚½/h (machine)". Nothing is substituted in silence.
